Dr. Johnston earned his bachelor of science and medical degree from Wake Forest University. He completed his internship at Cambridge Hospital, Harvard Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he served as chief resident. He completed a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at Doheny Eye Institute at the University of Southern California. Before joining The Polyclinic, Dr. Johnston practiced at UW Medicine-Valley Medical Center and served as chief of ophthalmology and refractive surgery in the United States Air Force Academy.

Dr. Johnston sees pediatric patients ages 12+.

Originally from Morristown, N.J., Dr. Johnston lives in Seattle with his wife and two young daughters. Outside of his practice, he enjoys tennis and skiing.
