Rhea received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She then went on to receive a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) – Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Rush University in Chicago, Ill. Before joining The Polyclinic, Rhea worked as an inpatient RN at Rush University Medical Center on a general medicine unit for over six years.
“Ever since I was a child, I knew I wanted to care for people. While completing my prerequisites for nursing school, I worked at Northwest Family Care Center, and fell in love with the Family Medicine/primary care setting. After being exposed to what a primary care provider does, I realized that was exactly what I wanted to do and therefore, worked towards not only becoming a nurse, but a Family Nurse Practitioner. I truly enjoy building relationships with my patients and I get to help keep them healthy while preventing negative health outcomes.”
Rhea enjoys taking care of people of all ages and following them throughout the lifespan. She has special interests in women’s health, dermatology, diabetes, and preventive care.
Rhea sees pediatric patients of all ages.
Outside of work, Rhea enjoys working out (running, spin class, barre, Pilates), hiking, going to the ballet, traveling, and trying new food/restaurants. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, twin boys, and cat.
“I believe in building trusting, empathetic relationships with my patients and partnering with them to achieve optimal health and wellness. Along with a partnership, I believe individualized education is important to empower my patients in their health and lifestyle choices.”
