Katherine V. Schwab MD

Dr. Schwab received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and her residency at Ohio State University Medical Center and Mount Carmel Hospital system in Columbus. Before joining The Polyclinic, she was an attending physician and Clinical Medical Director at Franciscan Women’s Health Associates in Burien, Wash.
Dr. Schwab provides general obstetrics and gynecology services including wellness exams, contraceptive counseling, and family planning. She specializes in high- and low- risk obstetrics; abnormal Pap smear management and colposcopy; abnormal and postmenopausal bleeding; fibroids; and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including robotic surgery.

Dr. Schwab is fluent in medical Spanish and speaks conversational Norwegian.
Outside of work Dr. Schwab enjoys music--both singing and listening--and all kinds of sports including swimming, cycling, running, triathlons, yoga, skiing and hiking. She also loves to travel and has been to several countries, and 46 out of the 50 states. Dr. Schwab and her husband have two young sons.
