Practice Philosophy
"Gastroenterology is a great combination of procedural medicine and more cognitively oriented internal medicine. The procedural side of the practice is gratifying because of the immediate feedback (and often, relief) for patients. A patient presents with a concern or problem, and using my technical skills and our rapidly advancing technologies, we can often solve the problem right then and there—whether it’s removal of a polyp or bile duct stone, stenting of a bile duct stricture, acquisition of diagnostic tissue samples. On the other hand, some patients have medical issues that require careful thought and consideration over a much longer timeframe. This allows for the development of a long-term relationship, which is also very satisfying."
