She received her medical degree at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed her pediatric residency at Seattle Children’s hospital. Before joining The Polyclinic, she practiced at Pediatrics Northwest in Tacoma.
Dr. Ivers’ clinical interests include all of general pediatrics. She sees children of all ages, from birth through college, and with a variety of health concerns. Dr. Ivers performs minor procedures including newborn circumcisions in the office.
“I chose pediatrics because I love working with kids and families of all different backgrounds. Every family has a story that makes them unique and gives perspective on their lives. In addition, being a mom has changed my perspective on life—especially on my practice. I think I have a better understanding of the daily challenges families face in giving birth and raising children. I try to recognize these challenges and offer support to my patients in ways that I would want to be supported.”
“I focus on prevention and attempt to minimize excessive antibiotic use and medical testing when unnecessary.”
