“After college, I volunteered to teach at a bilingual school in rural Honduras. Witnessing the devastating and far-reaching impacts of lack of good health care on my students and their families spurred me on to pursue medicine and health equity locally and abroad.”
Dr. Howell provides comprehensive primary care and has special interests in preventive medicine, women's health and contraception, and global health. Dr. Howell is currently not seeing children.
Dr. Howell says she gets reenergized by meditating, listening to podcasts, singing in choir, baking bread and enjoying all of the beauty the Pacific Northwest has to offer. You can find her out hiking, biking, snowboarding, kayaking, crabbing, and camping.
“My approach to clinical practice is whole-person wellness. It starts with listening closely and then jointly individualizing your care, based on well-researched, evidence-based treatment options.”
