Dr. Chu received his medical degree from St. Louis University Medical School and then completed his internship and residencies in both general surgery and otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center.

Special Interests

Dr. Chu’s practice encompasses all areas of otolaryngology and pediatric otolaryngology (including the placement of ear tubes-myringotomy) with special interests in facial plastic surgery, head and neck surgery, rhinology (sinus), snoring and sleep apnea surgery, chronic ear disease and chronic ear problems.


Dr. Chu sees patients of all ages, from newborn and up.

  • Assistant clinical professor for otolaryngology and head & neck surgery at the University of Washington Medical School
  • Course instructor for the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery
  • Committee member and state representative for Washington to the Board of Governors for the Academy of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery
