ANCC Certified (Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner)
Ann received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Washington, Bothell campus and her Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Graduate Certificate from the University of Washington in Seattle. She received a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Community Health Systems Nursing from the University of Washington.
“From an early age, I was the caregiver in our family. When my father passed away from complications of a preventable disease, I was motivated to go back to school and study nursing.”
Ann provides general urological care and medical management of non-surgical conditions, including but not limited to:
- bladder infections (UTI)
- bladder pain
- erectile dysfunction
- inability to urinate
- incomplete bladder emptying
- prostate pain
- testicle pain
- urinary frequency
- urinary incontinence
- urinary urgency
- weak urine stream
She particularly enjoys working with the geriatric population.
Outside of work, Ann enjoys cooking, traveling, and singing.
“I am an educator, a facilitator, and a member of the patient’s team. I partner with my patients and work towards mutual goals to optimize their health. I empower my patients to take charge of their lives and implement or change one or two things in their lives that will promote their quality of life. I am always gratified to see patients make positive changes and gain confidence in their health, that makes me smile.”
Ann’s graduate research focused on access to hygiene services among the homeless population in Seattle’s University District.
