Education
Amy Treakle, MD, received her medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. Dr. Treakle completed her internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, Md. She completed an infectious disease fellowship at George Washington University-VA Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Clinical Interests
General infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, orthopedic device infections, multi-drug resistant organisms (e.g MRSA, ESBL gram negative bacteria, VRE), outpatient antimicrobial therapy, travel and tropical medicine, infection control

Dr. Treakle sees pediatric patients ages 13+.
