Dr. Sherman earned a medical degree from the University of Washington and completed a residency in family medicine at Swedish Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Sherman has enjoyed the full spectrum of family medicine during her career. Currently she serves as Medical Director for the Patient Experience and Physician Development, working to promote great relationships between physicians and patients. She teaches classes in communications at The Polyclinic and for the American Academy on Communication in Healthcare. She is a credentialed Balint group leader, and holds regular meetings at The Polyclinic to promote deeper understanding of the physician-patient relationship. Recently she was accepted into the “Facilitator in Training Program” for the Academy on Communication in Healthcare, a two-year program to develop skills in facilitation of groups, coaching, leadership, and personal development. She continues to see patients a few hours per week in various locations at The Polyclinic.
