Dr. Reshma Desai earned her undergraduate degree in honors biochemistry as part of the Dean’s Scholars Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin. She received her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She completed her internal medicine internship and residency at Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth, Texas. Before joining The Polyclinic, Dr. Desai was a hospitalist at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Irving, Texas and an internist at Austin Regional Clinic in Kyle, Texas.
Dr. Desai provides comprehensive primary care and has special interests in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of chronic diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Dr. Desai does not provide osteopathic manipulative treatment.
Outside of the office, Dr. Desai enjoys traveling, musical shows/concerts, hiking, reading, exploring the restaurant scene, and spending quality time with family and friends.
