Education and Background

Martha Bell-Hart, RN, is a certified diabetes nurse educator and certified insulin pump trainer. Martha received her bachelor’s degree from University of Toronto, nursing education at Ryerson Polytechnical University, and also completed post-graduate work in diabetes management and education.

She has been a diabetes nurse educator with Virginia Mason Medical Center and with the American Diabetes Association, and she was a diabetes nursing consultant with the Washington Department of Health’s Diabetes Control Program.

Special Interests

Martha provides individual diabetes education, medication management, insulin management, insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring. She is also a member of The Polyclinic’s Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) team, helping teach our group classes.
