Dr. Vanderzee earned her bachelor's of science degree in biology from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich.; earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor; and completed her residency in family medicine at Swedish Family Medicine Residency, First Hill in Seattle.
Dr. Vanderzee embraces the full variety of family medicine with special interests in reproductive health, obstetrics, LGBT health, and teen health. She performs in-office procedures including IUDs, joint injections, and skin biopsies, among others.

During her residency, Dr. Vanderzee was involved in training other family medicine residents at Swedish First Hill and is currently a clinical instructor of family medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Vanderzee enjoys hiking and backpacking, playing softball and volleyball, cooking, dancing and playing percussion instruments.
