American Board of Family Medicine
Dr. Richards received her medical degree from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD). She completed her residency at the University of California San Diego and Sharp Grossmont Hospital Stanford University Affiliate Program in La Mesa, California.
Before joining The Polyclinic, Dr. Richards practiced at The Palo Alto Medical Clinic, UCSD, Medical Arts Associates, and Swedish Medical Group.

Dr. Richards’ clinical interests include prevention of disease through immunization and screening, and caring for a broad array of primary care conditions such as injuries, infections, asthma, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, women’s health, and dermatology. She performs annual physicals, sports physicals/school examinations, and gynecological care, in addition to minor procedures such as skin biopsies and mole removals.
Teens age 16 and older
Dr. Richards enjoys spending time with family, nature, art, dance and reading.
“I enjoy getting to know my patients and caring for entire families from teens to adults as well as multi-generational families. I am very interested in primary prevention of disease and I promote immunization, cancer screening, and working with diet and exercise as aides to any needed medication or medical care.”
