Dr. Spector earned a medical degree from the University of Michigan, completed both an internship and a residency at Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Ill., and a residency as senior supervisor at Duke Hospital, Duke University, Durham, N.C. He also completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Texas Cancer System.
Dr. Spector's practice focuses on preventive health care and therapeutic care for pediatric diseases from birth through late teens.
"I believe that the physician and the patients are a team, the patients must understand reasons for therapy and diagnosis to approve of treatment. Once a child is a teenager, they can have professional confidentiality so that they can be treated and trusted as the adults they will become."
Associate clinical professor, University of Washington Department of Pediatrics; staff pediatrician, Children's Hospital.
