Cheryl received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing at Seattle Pacific University and received the title of Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. She earned her certification in wound, ostomy, continence and foot care at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
“My grandmother, who I was very close to, passed away when I was 9 years old. I knew from the time she passed away, that I wanted to be a nurse. I really enjoy caring for people and love the challenges and rewards of providing care to patients.”
Cheryl's practice focuses on preventive foot care, diabetic foot care, wound care, and nail and callous care.
Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys her grandchildren and family, the Seattle Opera, Seattle Art Museum, and a good book to read.
“I believe in caring for the whole person: Educating patients and working together to create a plan of care that provides healing and a sense of well-being for the patient and their loved ones.”
Cheryl has a special interest in palliative care as well as diabetic foot care and advanced wound care.
Swedish Medical Center
“I have worked at the University of Washington Medical Center, Veterans Hospital on Beacon Hill, and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. All are teaching institutions. I believe every moment is a teaching opportunity. I taught many caregivers the basics of wound and foot care so they can provide knowledgeable care to their patients.”
Cheryl volunteers for the Edmonds Garden Tour.
