“I was influenced to become a healthcare provider after working alongside medical volunteers in Guatemala and Peru. I was taken aback by the major impact they made with very limited resources in rural villages. I finalized my career decision after working with amazing nurses and physicians here in Seattle. I was empowered by watching the health care providers forge strong patient-centered relationships and seeing the positive impact it had on health outcomes in our community. It was through these experiences I was inspired to improve health care locally and globally.”
Jacklyn provides comprehensive primary care for adults. Her special interests are preventive medicine and chronic disease management.
“As a nurse practitioner I am committed to providing collaborative, compassionate, and comprehensive healthcare. I aspire to do this by maintaining emphasis on the health and well-being of the whole person. This means taking the time out to listen each patient’s concerns and learning about their healthcare goals at each appointment. I believe it is essential for the patient and provider to work together to generate an individualized treatment plan while integrating the most up-to-date guidelines for evidence-based medicine.”
Outside of work, Jacklyn enjoys walking her Boxer, playing piano, and traveling.
