The Optometry department welcomes Brittany Ng, OD to The Polyclinic Northgate Plaza, 3rd Floor. Dr. Ng starts seeing patients on Friday, October 18, 2019. She will temporarily see patients one day a week at Madison Center until early 2020.
Dr. Ng completed her bachelor of science degree at the University of Washington-Seattle and received her doctorate in optometry from the University of California-Berkeley. She completed internships at the American Lake Veterans Affairs Hospital in Tacoma, Wash.; Hayward Wellness Center in Hayward, Calif.; and Highland Hospital in Oakland, Calif. Before joining The Polyclinic, Dr. Ng practiced at Oceanclear Eyecare in Renton, Wash.
Dr. Ng’s clinical interests include digital eyestrain and focusing issues in adults and children, pediatric optometry, orthokeratology and fitting soft multifocals for myopia control, contact lens fittings for presbyopia and multifocal soft lenses and monovision.
“My goal is to provide comprehensive eye care for all ages and backgrounds, with compassion and careful regard for the changes that our visual system undergoes throughout life,” she shared. “I believe in practicing to the highest level of clinical care, and in patient education about the latest eye care research and technology.”
Outside of work, Dr. Ng enjoys drawing and arts and crafts, and thinking or reading about ways to be original and creative. A Seattle-area native, she enjoys running and exploring new plant-filled areas on foot, trying new coffee shops and cuisines around the world, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.
