The diabetes education and nutrition education departments are pleased to welcome Kaitlyn Dickson to The Polyclinic. Kaitlyn sees patients at The Polyclinic Northgate Plaza and Madison Center. She started seeing patients in March 2018.
Kaitlyn received her master’s degree in nutrition from Bastyr University and is working towards becoming a certified diabetes educator. She received a bachelor’s degree in international studies and Spanish language from Seattle University. Kaitlyn has a special interest in pediatric and family nutrition, eating disorders, and gastrointestinal health. She also enjoys educating patients on the role of nutrition in preventing and managing chronic disease.
“I decided early during my education that I wanted to pursue a career where I could be a resource for others. As someone who has a profound respect and interest in food and food culture, I was inspired to help people improve their lives through nutrition. My goal is always to provide relevant, meaningful, and personalized nutrition education and counseling that encourages sustainable health choices and promotes a positive relationship with food.”
Outside of work Kaitlyn enjoys cooking with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, travel, Spanish language, and food and restaurant culture.
