Vinod Doreswamy MD

Dr. Doreswamy finished a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He completed a residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center and medical school in Mysore, India.
Dr. Doreswamy is an expert in treating everyone from infants to adults. He cares for patients with environmental and food allergies, including peanut allergies, asthma, eczema, chronic cough, recurrent and chronic sinusitis, hives and rhinitis, drug allergy, immunodeficiencies and chronic urticaria. He also treats children and adults with venom and insect bites, CVID immunology issues (recurrent infections, skin infections), complement disorders and HAE (treatment for swellings).
Dr. Doreswamy believes in treating patients as family. He strives to listen and hear patients’ concerns. He practices evidence based medical care.
Teaching and Community Involvement:
Dr. Doreswamy works with the Allergy & Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics, (AANMA) a national patient education outreach organization. He serves as the Seattle-area Anaphylaxis Community Expert and provides presentations to local schools, daycares and community groups. Their goal is to share the right treatment approaches to anaphylaxis in the community. In 2012, Dr. Doreswamy worked closely with King County EMS to train first responders in decision making and appropriate treatment of anaphylaxis.
Professional Society Membership:
Dr. Doreswamy is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
The doctor received an award for his poster presentation at the AAAAI 2010 Conference. He was also a top 100 physician in India for the Residency entry exam.
Dr. Doreswamy’s wife is a specialist in neurology, sleep medicine and epilepsy and they have two children. He is a long distance runner.
