Nancy M. Shasteen MD

Dr. Shasteen earned a medical degree from the University of Washington. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington and a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Washington and Seattle Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Dr. Shasteen has a special interest in inflammatory arthritis including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus, treatment and prevention of osteoporosis, and sports medicine. Dr. Shasteen is president of the Washington Osteoporosis Coalition. In addition, she is the vice president of the Washington Rheumatology Alliance and head of rheumatology at Swedish Medical Center First Hill campus. She also serves on the professional meetings committee for the American College of Rheumatology.
